Congratulations to Stratford on Avon Gliding Club glider pilot Katharine who gained her Silver Height achievement today with a late-season thermal climb off the winch!

Katharine recently converted onto her first single-seat glider, Stratford’s SZD Junior G-CHDB. Today she took the aircraft to 5000′ and in the process gained more than the required 3280′ of height gain.
