Here's how to find us By Road and By Air.

We're open seven days a week from May to mid-September, Weekends and Thursdays for the rest of the year.

By Road

We have a road map of the local area. Alternatively, your TomTom knows us as CV37 0EG.

From Coventry, Warwick, Leamington, Banbury, London, the SE

• J15 of the M40 is the A46.
• From there, take the A46 south, signposted Stratford, for 1½ miles.
• At the next roundabout, take the second exit, still the A46, signposted (Worcester), (Redditch), and (Evesham), for 1½ miles.
• Turn right at the turning on the brow of the hill, signposted Snitterfield, and then turn immediately left for ½ mile.
• Take the first turning right, signposted Snitterfield and Bearley, and follow the road through Snitterfield village and 1 mile out the other side. The airfield is on the left.
• If you get to the golf course or Bearley, you've gone too far.

From Birmingham, Solihull, Redditch, the N and E

• The Stratford Road out of Birmingham was the A34 and is now the A3400.
• Follow it through, or join it at, Henley-in-Arden, through Wootton Wawen towards Stratford.
• Immediately after the Golden Cross on the right, where the railway goes over the road, turn left, signposted Bearley and Snitterfield.
• Follow the road through Bearley, past the golf course, and the airfield is on the right.

From Stratford, Evesham, the SW

• The A46 northbound crosses the Birmingham Road out of Stratford at the Bishopton Roundabout.
• From there, take the A3400 towards Birmingham for 2½ miles.
• Just before the railway bridge over the road, turn right, signposted Bearley and Snitterfield. Follow the road through Bearley, past the golf course, and the airfield is on the right.
• The first turning to Snitterfield, by the Dun Cow, doesn't pass the airfield, but you can turn left at the crossroads in Snitterfield village.

By Air

The airspace near Snitterfield is quite complex, because we are on the edge of the BHX approach zones. We have a detailed local airspace map of the immediate vicinity.

The hangar at Snitterfield is BGA Turning Point SNI, but it's Class D and also very close to controlled airspace. We use the Dun Cow, a kilometre away, as our start and finish point, and this is BGA Turning Point SN2.

There is only one road bridge in the centre of Stratford, the Clopton Bridge where the A422 to Banbury crosses the river. It is adjacent to a pedestrian bridge. The Clopton Bridge is BGA Turning Point SOA. The most visible landmark in Stratford is the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. It is a large brick building on the North side of the Avon in the centre of Stratford, and is the only building there of any size. It is 200m West of the bridge.
